Hair Education Comes to Westchester as Nick Arrojo Leads All Star Cast in Trendy Expose

ARROJO Presentation models feature color and texture with a street-inspired rock and roll vibe.

April 4, 2022 at the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center. The ARROJO Exposé hair show draws a fulls house for an inspirational evening of creative cutting and coloring, modern styling and texturizing, and beauty trend forecasting from Nick Arrojo and his illustrious team of world class hairdressing artists.

Preceded by a collection of entertaining hair trend inspiration videos, the demonstrations and presentations include signature ARROJO razor cutting techniques, precision scissor cutting, hair painting, American Wave permanent textures, and occasion styling.

The emerging trend theme for spring and summer includes blurred lines between masculine and feminine, hairstyles with bold colors, large curls, and punk-inspired defined yet collapsed shapes –– as well as even more emphasis on tailor-made looks that reflect the personality of the individual.

Other highlights include legend of Westchester hairdressing Franco Osso joining Nick on stage for a feel good moment in which he thanked Nick for bringing hair education back to Westchester and encouraged attendees to build more hairdressing community in the county.

After the cancelled events and reduced capacities of the past two years, it was also great to see a house of 150+ people come together for a night of hairdressing education and inspiration, connection and celebration.

TO ALL ATTENDEES THANK TOU FOR BEING A PART OF EXPOSE WESTCHESTER!

Franco’s Hair Dimensions Salons have been in business for 50+ years; they are ARROJO Ambassador Salons, and the friendship between Nick and Franco has established a new connection between hairdressing in NYC and Westchester.

Chappaqua Performing Arts Center is a beautiful venue - we were so happy to have a full house!

Lina Arrojo displays the ‘planing’ technique. One of the most advanced methods of razor cutting, it enables stylists to collapse the interior of the shape, creating more room for texture and movement.

Annmarie Parker uses our Fierce Firm Hold Hairspray to build the structure for Hollywood Waves.

Nick Arrojo talks about our revolutionary permanent texture service, American Wave.

Alexis Sarris, color and texture specialist at ARROJO Soho, displays the wrapping techniques that makes American Wave a modern and creative service for enhanced textures.

Paul Merritt, Creative Director of ARROJO Cosmetology School, displays the vanguard cutting and styling skills that make him one of the world’s most in-demand editorial stylists.

Paul Merritt (clockwise left) shows precision scissor cutting and Nick Arrojo (clockwise right) shows straightedge razor cutting. Nick explains the difference as such. “Scissor cutting is like architecture, razor cutting is like sculpture. It’s not that either is better, they’re just different.”

Nick Arrojo demonstrates a shoulder-grazing layer cut - what Nick calls his salon '“money-maker.”

Ygor Silva, graduate of ARROJO Cosmetology School and now building clientele as a stylist at ARROJO Soho, blow-dries on stage for Nick. It’s Ygor’s first stage appearance as a stylist and his does a brilliant job!

Paul Merritt shows of the punk rock attitude of his demonstration model’s new hair cut.
